Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • To get good Democrats elected to public office in San Diego County
  • To find good Democrats to run for public office in San Diego County
  • To get Democratic voters to the polls and to register more Democratic voters

Jessica has been a lifelong advocate for women, workers, and equal justice. She was previously a member of Dianne Feinstein’s kitchen cabinet, she helped organize studio employees with the Teamsters, and has volunteered for countless campaigns throughout her lifetime. As Vice Chair, she oversaw the successful elections of 23 out of 27 candidates that ran in the South Area in 2014 even amidst record low turnout. Jessica graduated from UCSD with a B.A. and California Western School of Law with a J.D. She and her former husband built a business and became local employers for over 175 people. She raised two talented and gorgeous daughters of whom she is extremely proud.

Filosofía política

I am an unapologetic liberal. I believe and actively work for access and equity in government, education, jobs and society in general. I believe in protecting our environment in a manner that does not favor the wealthy over the poor. I believe unions are the foundation of our middle class. I believe we must develop San Diego as a Water Tech Hub to create jobs, spur research and accomplish solutions to our water issues. We need to find ways to keep housing affordable or we will be priced out of our own homes. We need to educate all children because it is too expensive in the alternative: a massive uneducated adult population. It is Trump who said he loves the uneducated. I believe in safe streets and community based policing instead of a "them vs. the world" mentality. I believe in reforming laws that incarcerate massive blocks of our population because it leaves us without sound healthy adults and costs us billions of dollars we can use for everything else. I believe women still have a long way to go get gender parity in the workplace and women of color have even farther to go, so we must fix this or we will keep losing huge sums of money out of our collective pockets. I believe raising people up is the only way to improve our economy. I believe in the stiffest of all penalties for sexual predators and those who enslave girls for the sex trade, a crime that is shockingly prevalent in San Diego County. We are coming into our own as Democrats and as a Party in San Diego County and soon, very soon, we are going to wag this dog. But to do that, we must elect good Democrats who are unafraid to go toe to toe for what is right.
