Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Provide support support for students with lower test scores.
  • Find long term solution to overcrowding.
  • Continue working with teachers in making kids number one.

Profesión:Customer Service Representative
Trustee, Oroville City Elementary School District — Cargo designado (2014–current)

University of Phoenix B.S. Business , Comunications (2009)

My children have attended school in Oroville since preschool in 2007 where I served on the parent teacher council review and approving policy and budgetary matters. In 2009 I received my BS in Business to gain a better understanding of these processes and joined Wyandotte Academy's school site council in 2014 when I was appointed as trustee on the OCESD school board. Since then I have had the honor of participating on the LCAP committee, the English Language Arts Curriculum adoption, and have continued to support Wyandotte Academy's School Site Council and PTC.

Filosofía política

Growing up in rural Alaska exposed me to different cultures and economic standards. As the child of 3 generations of teachers I came to understand the relationship between education and society. While there are many different perspectives in the world there remains the fundimental need for respect of every individual, equal oppertunity, and a common basis for education between generations through story telling. I moved to Oroville 17 years ago because of it's varigated community and it's variety in language and perspective. Raising my children here was a conscious decision to expose them to the same cultural values I was raised in and one I continue to fight for everyday.
