Gil Murillo, City of Antioch mayoral candidate, speaks at Education Symposium 2016 — October 2, 2016 East Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Gil Murillo, City of Antioch mayoral candidate, speaks at Education Symposium 2016 about the concerning 34% truancy factor in Antioch elementary schools, and the 80% dropout rate among high school students who don't make it to college. Whereas only 3 out of 10 kids make it through college, Mr. Murillo mainly worries about the 7 who don't. As mayor of Antioch, Mr. Murillo would like to work with the City Council and the School District to give under-served students exposure and access to resources and opportunities.
