Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Protect and secure jobs for our community first.
  • Provide law enforcement with the adequate resources to imporve our public safety.
  • Work with developer of the Concord Naval Weapon Station and community to assure our seniors, our veterans, and our underserved communities are not displaced.

CSU, East Bay B.A., Political Science emphasis in Pre-Law (2014)

I attended both middle school and high school here in Concord and went to CSU East Bay and studied Political Science emphasis in Pre-Law and a minor in Music. While attending CSUEB I had the opportunity to work for Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta at Congressman Sam Farr’s office in Washington DC -- where I worked mainly on immigration reform issues. While attending CSEUB worked 6 jobs to pay for my university and Interned/worked with Speaker of the Assembly John Perez, Senator Ellen Corbett and Assemblymember Bob Weickowski. After graduating CSUEB I started working as a Political Organizer working in multiple campaigns around the Bay Area. After about a year I started working with an organization that represents caregivers across the state. There I have worked in campaigns to elect officials who will help lift working people out of poverty. Also helped advocate in the Capitol for the passage of SB 3 that will increase the minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour by 2022 and give homecare workers 3 paid sick days.

I am running because I have lived in Concord for most of my life. Concord has given much to me and my family, and I would like to give back to my community. I believe I have the leadership and discipline necessary to serve the community on the council. I have watched with dismay how the community has responded to the way some members of the council have addressed recent issues. Whether it is transportation, rent control or the Concord Naval Weapons station, the council needs to be open and transparent when making decision that affect the integrity of the process to ensure community trust and support. Currently there is a lack of diversity on the council. As a member of the millennial and Latino community, and a recent first time home buyer I understand the issues affecting a large number of underrepresented people of our community.
