Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Public Safety. With our new police chief, we have the opportunity to improve neighborhoods by strengthening relationships with residents. I’ll work to re-open Fire Station 12, and for a comprehensive solution to chronic homelessness.
  • Infrastructure. I’ll be a good steward of public funds by demanding transparency and protecting our infrastructure investments. Budgeting for maintenance of the pool, train station, streets and parks prevents costly early replacement.
  • Revitalization and Preservation. We need more local jobs and creative economic development ideas. I’ll lead the effort for a solid master plan for the marina and attracting investments that make downtown a greater destination.

Biografía

I am the mom of a 4th grader in Martinez schools, a school and community volunteer leader and an attorney who advocates forsmall businesses. I am running for Martinez City Council because I want my daughter to live in a community that offers her opportunities, now and as she grows.

As an attorney and advocate for small businesses, I’ve learned that collaboration yields results. As a volunteer leader in Martinez schools and our community swim team, I’ve worked to improve programs while respecting budget limitations. I’ll take those skills to the City Council as an advocate for residents. I want to be a leader, not a politician, whose focus is openness, integrity, and what's best for all of Martinez's families.

I received my bachelors degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and my Juris Doctor from UC Davis School of Law, where I earned the Public Service certificate. I'll use the critical-thinking, problem solving, and analysis skills I developed while working at the district attorney's and attorney general's offices to solve problems and get things done.

My volunteer and community service work includes serving as the Vice President of the Martinez Community Swim Team (MCST), and the Silent Auction Committee Internet Chair for Morello Park Elementary School PTA. I also served as a Committee Member for the Local Control and Accountability Plan at the Martinez Unified School District and as a volunteer at events for Main Street Martinez.

I am an avid sports fan, especially baseball and football, and collect San Francisco Giants memorabilia. I love to hike, swim and ski. Martinez's beautiful parks, stellar schools, open spaces and community spirit make it stand out as the best place to live in the East Bay. I look forward to working with you to preserve what makes us special while achieving the progress our citizens deserve.
