  • Bringing together community input and professional expertise to define a process to revitalize our downtown and provide access to more desired businesses, while preserving our small town charm and natural environment.

My husband and I have lived in Orinda for 27 years and enjoyed raising our sons in a community with such great schools and family focus. We love living here and I have always actively contributed my time and expertise to Orinda’s schools, charities, and volunteer government.

As a current Councilmember, I provide ongoing leadership for fixing our roads and drains while helping to maintain a fiscally responsible approach to Orinda’s operations and capital programs. Utilizing my 37 years of civil engineering expertise, I contributed extensively to Orinda’s Road and Drains Plan during my four years of service on the Citizens' Infrastructure Oversight Commission and led efforts to better communicate roads information to Orinda’s residents.

As a civil engineer with nearly four decades of highway, roadway, and transit experience, I bring relevant background and expertise to Orinda’s roads and other facilities projects. I received an MBA from UC Berkeley and have more than 25 years of executive management experience and full financial accountability for teams of up to 150 people. In my professional and volunteer leadership roles I have a proven track record of consensus building, problem solving, and successful financial performance.

Filosofía política

As a Councilmember, continuing to work toward the full repair and long term maintenance of Orinda’s infrastructure remains one of my top priorities. I am also eager to work with the community to find ways to enhance and revitalize our downtown as a key aspect of our local quality of life. I am committed to maintaining our City’s fiscal health and public safety while still seeking opportunities to protect and improve Orinda’s civic assets. I am fully committed to finding more ways for the Council to receive community input on issues, as well as ensuring that the Council’s activities are transparent, responsive, and focused on keeping Orinda a great place to live.
