Preguntas de League of Women Voters of California Education Fund (1)

A recent law made major changes in the way that the state allocates funding to schools.  What will you do to ensure that the public understands your local control formula for school spending and your plan to measure outcomes?
Respuesta de George R. Valenzuela:

As a school board member we welcome public input via email, at board meetings or in person.  We have the LCAP committee that meets and has various stakeholders involved.  Please join the LCAP committee if you have time.  If not, send emails or attend Board meetings to inform the Board as to how you want local funds (local control funding formula-LCFF) spent here in Windsor.  I am very open to concerns and issues that are facing Windsor residents.

Filosofía política

As a school board member, I have a constituency of Windsor voters which includes parents and community members.  There are some high school students that are allowed to vote, as they would be seniors in high school and have attained the age of 18.  A school board member is a non-partisian advocate for parents and students.  The parents and students are not represented by anyone, but for a school board member.

I believe in transparancy and the need to be available to all segments of the Windsor Community that is advocating for safe drug-free and academically empowered programs at our sites.
