Slow cautious growth is in the interest of the residence. Big boxes and to much growth is not in
the interest of the community.
Elected officials should represent their community not developers, and special interests.
City Council and County Supervisors should provide policy direction to staff. Staff should not
direct the elected officials.
Elected officials should protect the people.

Filosofía política

My view of board service is that boards need to work collaboratively to achieve the work of the people.  It’s important to remember that divergent views should be welcome and that every voice should be heard and considered.  At the end of the discussions, it takes 3 council people to make a decision.  My role, if elected, will be to convince two other board members that my view has merit.

I believe in focusing on the needs and improvements that are good for the people that live in Rocklin.  I do not support chasing businesses and big box stores for the tax increment.  If the store doesn't fit in our community, I will not support them moving into our city.

The city council has lost its way over the last four years.

Un-needed traffic circles, building homes in commercial areas, putting in WiFi equipment in parks and turning it off, rasing the speed limit in neighborhoods.

I’m running for Rocklin City Council to return our city’s focus to the people and businesses in our city.  Growth for growth’s sake is not in the interest of the people or the businesses in Rocklin.  My hope is to create a plan for our city that, when executed, will improve Rocklin for its citizens.

I’m a strong proponent of extending Sacramento’s Light Rail system to Roseville and Rocklin.  This would be a major endeavor that would require working with both Roseville and Sacramento Regional Transit. My vision includes a future where every 30 minutes there is a train going from Rocklin to downtown Sacramento.
