Preguntas y Respuestas

Preguntas de League of Women Voters of San Diego (1)

What is the most significant challenge facing the City of La Mesa, and if you are elected, what steps will you take to address it?
Respuesta de Kristine C. Alessio:

Our aging infrastructure, specifically sewers are a seldom thought about issue that is a continual challenge to La Mesa.  The risks not only to our residents but to the environment of a break in a sewer line are not worth taking.  It seems trivial but we all rely on our sewer system working.  We have moderately increased rates so that we can continue to use the State Revolving Sewer Fund as we continue to replace this aging but necessary infrastructure.  I will continue to make sure problem areas are identified and budget resources are directed to keeping La Mesa's integral basic systems in excellent condition.
