Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Public safety: I will work with police to reduce burglaries and mail theft, and reinstate the Traffic Commission to address the 3 E's: enforcement, education and engineering, so we have safe streets for bikes and pedestrians.
  • Community Center: Provide community facilities—including outdoor spaces—that serve all residents, north and south. I’ll make sure we identify and prioritize programs so we plan the the right spaces with explicit size and costs.
  • Downtown Revitalization: Ensure participation of all stakeholders. Balance vibrancy with livability. Attract a mix of viable businesses and services while maintaining our unique small-town charm.

My family and I chose to live in Los Altos because we wanted a community that nurtures the same values we do. An appreciation for quality education, diversity, open space and a small-town feeling where people are friendly and active in their community has reinforced our ethics and standards.

I received a BS in organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco. Currently, I’m  working as a transportation inventory specialist for Skywest Airlines, which serves multiple major carriers. Through the utilization of supply chain management, we provide all maintenance, inventory and services to ensure safe travel.

Since moving to Los Altos 20 years ago with my husband Walter and our two sons, Walter Frank and Wyatt, I have been actively involved in improving the quality of life for residents.

Community Accomplishments:

-          Created the Grant Park Senior Center in south Los Altos, which provides exercise programs, speaker series, lunches and a casual meeting place for all seniors.

-          Collaborated with Los Altos Hills Town Parks Commission and Los Altos City Parks Commission to create a senior commission, which provides a united voice of advocacy for 12,000 seniors in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills

-          Served two terms on the Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury. Reports generated led to county agencies implementing and creating equitable policies, checks and balances, and improved  transparency practices:

-          Served 11 years on the Parks, Arts & Recreation Commission, during which time we

  • Adopted a new Parks Master Plan
  • Expanded the Summer Concert Series in north and south Los Altos
  • Modernized all parks and playground equipment
  • Approved and endorsed Acterra stewardship programs at Redwood Grove
  • Provide WIFI access at  recreation department facilities
  • Established online registration for Parks and Recreation programs
  • Advocated for after-school enrichment programs in partnership with LASD
  • Advocated for a dog park in Los Altos

-          Neighborhood Watch Captain and block team leader, 10 years

-          Board member and mediator for Los Altos Dispute Resolution Service, 10 years

-          Education chair for Los Altos/Mountain View League of Women Voters

-          Initiated Mandarin immersion program in the Cupertino school district in 2002

-          Recognized as an “Asian American Hero” by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, 2009

Filosofía política

I am running for Los Altos City Council to effectively represent all residents.

I want to bring new life to our downtown while preserving our village character, strengthen our community and our neighborhoods, protect our green spaces, and ensure we get community center facilities that serve everyone.

As your councilwoman, I will address the substandard conditions of our buildings, roads, storm water system, and parks. Public safety is a primary concern.

I will foster teamwork at City Hall, working with council members, commissioners and city staff to practice fiscally-responsible budgeting, based on priorities. Through the use of best practices, we can improve our planning, staffing, and decision-making processes with achievable goals, detailed schedules and measurable objectives.

Integrity is the foundation of my principles, and I will treat everyone respectfully to ensure equitable representation. I will work collaboratively with others to achieve results that benefit all Los Altos.
