Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Be a proactive advocate for infrastructure serving town residents (freeway interchanges, broadband, cellular, town roads, pathways, etc.)
  • Keep lines of communication on aircraft noise open so residents' views are heard through what may be a lengthy policy, regulatory, or legislative process.
  • Bring my years of town experience and my proven track record of putting the community first and finding common ground to address unforeseen matters and make our community a better place.

Biografía

I am an eighteen-year Los Altos Hills resident and I bring substantial experience to the Los Altos Hills Town Council. I have served continuously over the past fourteen years on four different town committees, serving as committee chair, leading initiatives and nurturing initiatives as needed. I am a founder and long-time board member of Bullis Charter School, and I presently as a director of Purissima Hills Water District. I have drafted portions of the town's Municipal Code and General Plan, and I have been involved in policymaking at the town, regional, state, and federal levels.

In a community no one accomplishes anything alone. I am proud to have had a hand in things you can see today in our town: the Purissima Park and Byrne Preserve utility undergrounding, the PV development area bonus ordinance, the water efficient landscape ordinance, the town's participation in Silicon Valley Clean Energy, and Purissima Hills Water District's reduction of its water use to a sustainable level.

Filosofía política

I am known for putting the community first and finding common ground. The best example my role in negotiating and then advocating for the agreement between Bullis Charter School and Los Altos School District settling long-standing facilities disputes. It was not perfect for either side, but has led to an ongoing rapprochement, including cooperation on a facilities bond measure and parcel tax measure. Clearly the students and the community are better for it.

I am a big believer in education and empowermement. I am proud of how the Environmental Initiatives Committee has promoted measures that pay for themselves, work well in our community, help residents be better informed, and are largely voluntary in meeting town goals and state mandates.
