Biografía

First, I want to thank you for your confidence in electing me in the August Special Election and I'm proud to be your new Councilmember.  I ask you to vote again for Larry Klein for Sunnyvale City Council Seat #4 in the November Election.

Thanks you for your interest in my campaign.  I moved to the Bay Area more in 1989 after graduating with a BS in Computer Science from USC.  I first settled in Sunnyvale in an apartment complex along Wolfe Road.  I have worked at numerous small high tech companies in roles including, Programmer, Lead Engineer, Manager, Director and Program Manager over the last twenty years.  I have a good understanding of how to run a company, and how to balance long-term goals with fiscal responsibility.

When my wife and I finally purchased our first home 15 years ago, it was in heart of Sunnyvale's Heritage District. Over the last 14  years, I became more active in serving our community, and I hope that I can continue to serve you as a member of City Council. My nine years of service on the Sunnyvale Planning Commission has given me extensive experience in Land Use issues, working with City Staff to craft the best project, and listening and discussing neighborhood issues.

I have been appointed to numerous other Sunnyvale committees (Charter Review Committee, Stevens Creek Trail Feasibility Study Citizens Working Group), and I have actively worked on Sunnyvale non-profit boards [Sunnyvale Historical Society, Sunnyvale Community Gardens, managing Charles Street Gardens/Full Circle Farm].  I have a long list of community leaders and present/past elected officials endorsing my campaign; please take a look: http://larryforcouncil.com/#endorsements

I have an intimate understanding of Sunnyvale’s historic past as well as insight into how the city curently operates.  I want to help improve the quality of life of our residents, and I feel that with your help, I can make a difference.

Your voice matters. You’re the reason that I have confidence in our future.  I am honored to serve you on the City Council, and I look forward to working diligently for all of Sunnyvale.  I am here to listen to your issues, and have weekly Friday morning office hours to hear your concerns and questions.

In November, I ask you to vote again for Larry Klein for Sunnyvale City Council Seat #4.
