Biografía

I want the Town of Corte Madera to be on a path of sustainable growth while keeping what makes it so wonderful. We can do that with forwarding thinking and never losing track of a balanced land use. We can do it by thinking progressively and finding innovative solutions.

Corte Madera is financially sound after several years of trouble and the town management has strong plans for the next two decades. But I believe we can make Corte Madera more diverse, more inclusive, and we should make stronger plans, since we still have a lot to do there especially regarding climate change issues. We must prepare for disasters, floods, and sea level rising, as well as addressing the triad transportation/traffic/transit, including sidewalks and protection rails for pedestrians, and the so-much-needed affordable workforce housing. And that’s why I support Measure F: if it passes, it will provide funds for capital improvement projects that address some of these issues.

I have 16 years of government experience ranging from foreign relations to state government. I work for the Judicial Council of California since 2007, and I have a master degree in Education.

My husband and I moved to Corte Madera in 2011 to enjoy the city’s green environment and the strong community values while being close to a cosmopolitan city. If elected to Town Council, I will work to ensure all residents continue to enjoy the tight community and small-town feel while working to make Corte Madera viable in the future. I also look forward to keeping the dialogue open and ongoing with all members of the community, from all cultures and walks of life.

Cities and towns are going to be the governance models for the future, they have been taking the lead regarding government agility and efficiency. Corte Madera is in a good position and is small enough to take care of its problems proactively. That’s why I am running: I am excited to be part of the town’s future, also helping it to be an example of good practices in our county and our state. Take this path with me, who, if elected, will be the only woman and only immigrant in the new Town Council for this term.  We can do much more together. It will be a privilege and an immense honor to serve my Town of Corte Madera. Thank you!
