Biografía

 

Jenny Van De Pol was born in Bellevue, Washington then moved to San Jose, California as a child where she grew up attending local school until she moved to Stockton as a sophomore in high school.  She went on to graduate from Lincoln High School in 1986.  Jenny went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

 

Upon graduation, Jenny was hired as the Marketing Coordinator for the San Tomo Group a local worldwide agri-business firm.  She then went on to work as a freelance copywriter.

 

She and her husband, Tom, have two sons who grew up attending Lincoln Unified Schools.  While her children attended elementary school, Jenny served in numerous elected offices on the Mable Barron PTSA Board including Co-President, Financial Secretary, Parliamentarian and Membership Chair.  She also served 2 terms on the Mable Barron School Site Council and chaired the “Save Science Camp” committee. 

 

Upon their promotion, Jenny went on to serve 2 terms on the Sierra Middle School; and as her sons entered high school, she volunteered with Lincoln High’s Safe and Sober Grad Night and is a member of the Lincoln High Band Booster Club.

 

In 2014, Jenny was appointed to serve on the Lincoln Unified School Board of Trustees where she has focused her energy on improving student achievement, improving school and student safety, and on increasing communication and parental involvement Jenny also serves as Lincoln Unified’s delegate on the California School Board Association.

 

Jenny and Tom’s oldest son graduated from Lincoln High and now attends James Madison University in Washington, DC.  Their youngest son is currently a Junior at Lincoln High School.
