Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • To promote a walkable, inclusive, business friendly environment with a better infrastructure.
  • I am a fiscal conservative. I want to help Sand City grow in a healthy responsible manner.
  • I feel it's important to be sure Sand City is well represented in the greater Monterey Peninsula and the State of California.

I have lived in California since 1971. I went to Laney College in Oakland and College of Alameda in Alameda. I have attended San Jose State and finally Mission College in Santa Clara where I graduated with a degree in Fire Science Technology.

I have lived in a few different cities in Northern California. I worked for the San Mateo County Assessor's office. I worked in the business trades as a drafting tech/illustrator. I built houses with my husband who was an architect. I was in the building trades for 27 years.

I worked as a contractor in graphic design for Lockheed, Watkins Johnson and others. I worked in the outer space industry as a artist and scheduler planner for the production of outer space solid rocket motors at United Technology Chemical Systems Division in San Jose.

l am a retired Fire Chief/Training Officer. I owned a ranch in the Santa Cruz Mts where I was a Fire Chief. I raised American Morgan Horses (Brightwater Ranch) and owned a sign shop named Brightwater Design.

I have lived in Sand City for 14 years. I have been involved in our City at many levels. I am the Owner/Artist at The Corner Gallery on Contra Costa and Ortiz.

I know how to help assess and solve difficult problems. am prepared to represent Sand City's interests in regional plans and discussions. I would put my skills to good use to serve you.

Filosofía política

Sand City is involved in a long transition, changing from an older heavy commercial base to a more mixed use of residential and commercial based one. This transition needs to be evaluated in a careful, courteous, public review process that includes the public, the city's advisory committees, the design review committee, the city council and the citizens of Sand City.

The review process needs to ensure that the various needs of this city are considered, such as public infrastructure, housing, leasing for business, water supply, neighborhood quality and values as well as public safety and financial security.

Sand City is a piece of the puzzle of the Monterey Peninsula. It's a canvas waiting to be made fresh. It's industrial land to be turned into something wonderful. Something more green. Parcel by parcel we could change it into a jewel. Resting on a foundation of fiscal stability.

so I want to help and be involved in this process. I am a resident/participant in the Sand City Community.
