I grew up in the Valley and committed to making our region a great place to live and work. I went back to college as my children were getting ready to embark on their own independent lives. Beginning my collegiate endeavor at Modesto Junior College then transferred to UC Davis. There, I earned an undergraduate degree with a major in Public Service and a minor in Community Development. Continually moving forward, I earned a Master of Public Administration from CSU Stanislaus. My public service work began while I was still at UC Davis, working as a staffer for the United States House of Representatives. While there, I worked for both a democrat and republican serving constituents in the 18th and 10th Congressional Districts. Upon earning my graduate degree I also taught American Politics 101 at Modesto Junior College. Currently, I work as an Administrative Analyst for the Housing Authority of the County of Stanislaus. I have served on various boards and was a former Planning Commissioner for the City of Oakdale. Currently, I serve as a board of director for Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and San Joaquin Valley Housing Collaborative.

Filosofía política
I believe in freedom, our Constitution, and of course equality. Civil liberties are paramount; it provides the liberty to live out our humanity for without it we would not have been able to obtain our civil rights. Silencing one opinion over another is silencing all. In this great nation of diversity, there are many political viewpoints and passions which is why the Constitution is so vitally important to measure and balance. I believe it is important to hear, listen, and understand differing viewpoints and work towards the betterment of the wholeness of the community.
To be clear my political view points are moderate, leaning conservative.
