Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • To provide the most recreational opportunities for the public at the least expense to the taxpayers
  • Provide adequate swimming facilities for the area
  • Expand and improve area trails for equestrians, hikers and bikers, including the handicapped

Sacramento State College B.S., Business Administration plus completion of 32 unit toward a Masters in Recreation Administration (1966)

I served as Administrator/Asst. Administrator of the FRRPD from 1966 to 1980, and served eight years on the District Board of Directors.  In addition, I was the District representative on the Joint Powers Authority and served as chairman of the Butte County Special District Advisory Board as its chairman.   During my tenure with FRRPD, working with the governing board, the board of supervisors, City of Oroville officials and the local Agency Formation Commission provided valuable experience.  During that time we built Harrison Stadium, the Nelson softball complex, and the expansion of Table Mountain Golf Course form nine to eighteen holes.  In addition, I coached Midget and Double A Little League teams, CYO basketball and Pop Warner football.  For 24 years, as one of the owners and the manager of Oro West Racquet & Health Club, I managed the facilities that included ten tennis courts, four racquetball courts, swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, full weight room and workout circuits, aerobics, basketball and sand volleyball. child care, bar and restaurant.  I also developed a tentative subdivision map for the property surrounding the club facilities.
