Biografía
Since being elected to the Encinitas City Council in 2014 and as Encinitas Mayor in 2016, Catherine has been working every day to preserve our paradise.
She has been endorsed by the Sierra Club for her environmental commitments and the Encinitas Firefighters Association for her public safety commitments.
Catherine is a champion for improved roads that better serve all users, particularly people biking and walking. Since she was elected mayor, Encinitas adopted one of the county's only "gold standard" climate action plans.
As a practicing attorney and a parent of two school aged children, Catherine brings a valuable perspective to the role of mayor.

We must increase density in order to comply with state law. I believe we should comply with state law. Additionally, homes that are smaller are more affordable by design. I support Measure U, which is the city's housing plan.
We are always trying to do more to help those living without a home to find shelter and stability.
The voters will decide in 2020 whether the city should allow a full supply chain - manufacturing, cannabis kitchens, delivery and retail. I will support the voters in their determination.

Read my Community Village Plan. It is the ONLY answer to solve not only Encinitas Hoiusing Crisis but all Housing problems nationwide.
Let's employ the "homeless that want help". Many programs could be set up to help these people move forward within our community.
City of Encinitas should become partners with any Cannabis Marketing. Not charge a business tax but become the actual partner, this way The City would be able to educate the public correctly about this herb and it's correct usage.
