I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Organizational Management. As a financial consultant, I help my clients with accounting, budgeting, projections, compliance, payroll and HR management.
My professional experience and years of community service are reasons to support my campaign. We need fresh eyes, new ideas and better communication between our city government and our residents. I am not a career politician; I am a resident who wants our community to thrive while maintaining the values of Vista. I am running to represent Vista, and this means putting people first. My campaign is people-powered, and I am not beholden to any corporations or special interest groups, only to you, the voter.

Second, important to me is ensuring financial stability of our city with responsible spending to support infrastructure and our socio-economic needs. Third, I actively support bringing a costeffective and a sustainable climate action plan to reduce our greenhouse emissions and transition to 100% renewable energy by 2035.

Do you support increasing the housing density in your district? What other options might there be for improving Vista's supply of affordable housing?

I do not support increasing housing density until our public safety infrastructure catches up with the increased number of homes already built, under construction but not yet occupied and those projects that have been approved but not yet started construction. Vista has not added enough Sheriffs Deputies to keep up with growth over the years and all to often I see Fire Personnel from other agencies doing what should be done by Vista Fire Department.
Do you approve of the City's current approach to addressing the problems of homelessness in Vista? What specific changes, if any, would you make?

The current approach to homelessness in vista seems to be to move them from one location to another instead of addressing why people are homeless. Is it by choice? Is it because of mental illness or drug addiction? I support working with not for profit organizations specializing in finding places for these people to live, eat and receive the treatment or counseling they need. Once this is accomplished, I would support working with temporary job placement agencies to find these people jobs and get them back to living on their own.
What are your thoughts on the three cannabis-related measures to be decided by Vista voters in the November election (Measure Z, Measure AA, and Measure BB)?

I support medical marijuana only if prescribed by a physician and dispensed by a licensed pharmacist. I am not for any other form of dispensary, storefront or delivery service as I believe there are not enough regulations in place to guarantee who is receiving the cannabis or to guarantee the quality of the cannabis. Also, until Federal Law legalizes marijuana there is a risk that unattended consequences will occur and people will get caught up thinking it is legal, which under state law it is, but it is still illegal under federal law and citizens would be subject to arrest by federal agents.
